Employment services - Suupohja employment area
Through employment services, both individuals and business clients receive advice and guidance on job searching, recruitment, and skills development.
Employment services transitioned to municipalities on January 1, 2025
The responsibility for employment services was transferred from the State Employment and Economic Development Offices to the employment areas formed by municipalities on 1 January 2025. Employment services have now become part of the basic services provided by each municipality.
Kristinestad is now part of the Suupohja employment region, which also includes Isojoki, Karijoki, Teuva, Kauhajoki, and Kurikka. Suupohja Education and Employment Consortium, Vuoksi, serves as the host and service provider for employment services.
What does this change mean?
If you are already a client, you don’t need to take any action, even though the service provider changed at the turn of the year. We will update you on any changes on this page, and if necessary, you will also be contacted directly.
To search for jobs or employees, log in to Job Market Finland, which serves as a meeting place for employers and job seekers. On Jobbmarknaden, you can find information about working life, services, and job openings. By logging in, you can, for example, create a jobseeker profile or a job advertisement. Job Market Finland also provides detailed instructions on how to manage your employment-related matters.
For more information and guidance on job searching or recruitment, visit the Kristinestad Service Point, the Suupohja Employment Region website, or the nationwide Job Market Finland service.
Businesses can also receive advice from Business Kristinestad.
More information about integration services is available here.
